Thornfield Oasis 14mm Engineered Wood Flooring
Thornfield Oasis Engineered Wood Flooring
Our Thornfield Oasis engineered oak flooring features a slightly wider board width of 150mm, maintaining the dimensions consistent with the rest of our Thornfield collection. With a sturdy 14mm thickness, this flooring is constructed with two distinct materials: a compressed layer of plywood and a solid oak veneer. The compressed plywood layer provides a robust base for the flooring, enhancing durability and increasing its resistance to foot traffic.
With an 11mm thickness, this plywood layer ensures suitability for areas with low to moderate foot traffic. On top of this, a 3mm wear layer of solid oak is meticulously placed, exemplifying the manufacturing process of engineered oak flooring. The Oasis boasts a 4V groove micro bevelled edge, accentuating the edges of all four sides of each plank. This sophisticated finish highlights the individual character of each board, offering a traditional appearance typical of hardwood flooring. Additionally, the micro bevelled edge provides forgiveness on uneven sub-floors, making it an ideal choice for older properties.
Unmatched Worth
Engineered wood flooring is gaining popularity for its increasing affordability and durability. Engineered oak, in particular, offers significant advantages as it is less prone to movement caused by temperature changes or fluctuations in humidity. This versatility allows straight planks to be installed in various areas of the house, beyond just the living room. With advancements in house building technology, we've witnessed the rise of underfloor heating, sunrooms, and conservatories. Previously, these spaces were deemed unsuitable for hardwood flooring due to high levels of direct sunlight and moisture. However, engineered wood flooring now offers a viable solution, catering to modern living requirements with ease.
Lacquered Engineered Wood Flooring
The lacquered finish on the Thornfield Oasis offers a reliable shield against splashes and spills, ensuring long-lasting protection for your flooring. Its smooth surface prevents dust and dirt from becoming trapped within the grains, simplifying maintenance and preservation efforts significantly.
